Smith, Bussey, Muir began operations in May 1975. The following year we began using computers in the provision of client accounting services,
making us one of the first accounting firms in the province to embrace this new technology. The early use of computers allowed us to take a more
diagnostic approach to our client services which we continue today.
We provide value added services to you; the business owner and not-for-profit organizations in the fundamental belief that good bookkeeping
practices produce tangible results in helping you reach your long term goals.
Over the years, these principals have provided the basis for many of the relationships that Smith, Bussey, Muir continues to maintain with our clients.
We continue to be innovative in the design and implementation of effective bookkeeping and management controls as well as emphasize the key
factors that we believe will positively impact our clients' performance and allow them to maximize positive financial results. As accountants, we have
been involved in many aspects of our clients' activities including acquisition, expansion, and financial management.
Smith, Bussey, Muir has traded on our ability to analyze business situations as well as interpolate economies of scale. This is how we attained our first
client, and to a significant degree, how we continue to expand our client base. We have long been statistically inclined and have assisted many of our
clients to establish and attain key objectives.
